Book Description

All vain and ignorant worship is unacceptable to God. Therefore, it is now only the faithful and obedient Christians who are the true worshippers of God because only they will worship Him as spirits themselves in the eternal kingdom of heaven (John 4.23-24). Accordingly, spirit and truth worship is the only type of worship acceptable to God because it is the only one that prepares Christians to worship Him for all of eternity. In spirit and truth worship, Christians collectively participate in the corporate worship activities of the church to God every Sunday by: (1) praying to Him, (2) singing songs of praise to Him, (3) partaking of the communion in remembrance of Jesus’ death on the cross, (4) contributing to the work of the church, (5) hearing Scripture read that is relevant to the specific needs of the congregation, and (6) listening to the preaching of a Bible lesson that edifies the assembly. Thus, the New Testament church must be Biblical in both her name and worship. If not, those items serve as red flags of warning that it may not be the one New Testament church belonging to Christ. For that reason, this book is suitable for individual and/or group study. To schedule a seminar on THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH, please contact Tom Wright at Didymus Books (see above).
